1.2 Opt for an ambient temperature exceeding 5°C for the installation process. Refrain from proceeding under rainy or mold-prone conditions, as this may lead to prolonged bonding times or even result in a non-adhesive outcome.
2. The Specific Construction Process:
2.1. Glue Application: Utilize a glue applicator to achieve a uniformly thick layer across the surface. Avoid repeated gluing, as this could cause bubbling or detachment. Ensure the glue on the bottom cloth is evenly applied, strictly managing the glue thickness and speed for optimal bonding on both surfaces.
2.2. Viscosity Control: Carefully consider environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and air pressure to determine the drying time. Typically, allow 10 to 30 minutes post-gelatinization. When 80-90% dry, the surface should be tack-free. Align adhesive surfaces precisely at first attempt, as re-positioning is not advisable.
2.3 Pressure Application: Post-bonding, clear any surface debris. Use a specialized rubber hammer to press from the bonding point outward, ensuring full contact for a stronger bond.
2.4 Curing Process: Generally, the adhesive takes three days to cure, reaching full strength after ten days. During curing, maintain the bonded area, avoiding exposure, waterlogging, and movement to achieve superior adhesion.
2.5. Post-bonding, ensure no quartz sand or rubber particles interfere with the bond integrity.
